Greeting in Tamu kyui(gurung language):

Lets begin:

1,Chhyaajalo: darshan( This is similar to Darshan in Nepali that means it is used as for 

exampler 'Kleseudi prehseudi chhyaajalo'. ) or God(our ancestors)but nowadays it is used in 

everyday conversation also. you can greet somebody with chhyaajalo.

2,Fyofullaa: namaste(root word is Fyod and it means in Nepali: Dhoga), can be explained by 

experts better

3.Tashi deleg: this is tibetan word whose literary meaning is shubhakaamana( In some 

section of gurungs it is used as namaste or happy new year.)

4.Fyolai: again root word fyod means Dhognu.It means in nepali dhoge hai , it is specially 

used in conversation with elders.Giving your head to elder bending forward and Elders will 

put their palm over your head and give blessing.

5.gyaasaaje: dhanyabaad(Typical thank you in gurung language)

6.Orchhe: dhanyabaad (In some section of gurung society namaste as well)
